Joey Comeaux - CEO/Founder of CoverSix Training Academy
A Louisiana native born into a military family driven to save lives. He has multiple years experience including Emergency Logistics Response, Law Enforcement and Active Shooter Response Training. He has worked on scene in every natural disaster in the U.S. and Haiti between 2007 and 2011. Through his years of disaster response and law enforcement he saw first hand the need to educate the law enforcement and general public community on Active Shooter Response Training. With lots of research and help from many people he decided to open CoverSix Training Academy. His mission is to ensure that everyone in every state is professionally trained and educated by the worlds most premier team.
Michael Felton, M.D. - Director of Medical Operation
- Dr. Michael A. Felton is a Louisiana native, born in New Orleans. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Aesthetic Surgery and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. He has been in private practice and emergency care for more than twenty years. For the last seven years he has served as active reserve Deputy Sheriff in St. Landry Parish. During that time he has also served as the Doctor for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics team and the Dive and Rescue team. He is Advanced Traumatic Life Support (ATLS), Law Enforcement and First Response Tactical Casualty Care (LEFR-TCC) and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certified. Dr. Felton has been an educator for more than two decades and serves as a Clinical Preceptor at both LSUHSC Medical School and Tulane University Medical School for resident physicians and medical students, as well as a Clinical Preceptor at UL Northwestern, UL Lafayette, and Loyola University Nurse Practitioner programs, training health care providers in primary care and emergency medicine.
